The estate is a conservation project and the house which was originally built as a luxury showpiece for the Earl of Bantry, has now been renovated to provide a wonderful self-catering experience. The Lodge is located on a man-made island in the Glengarriff River, created by the Earl of Bantry to make a secret natural hideaway on his vast estates.
Recently refurbished to a luxury standard by the current owners, the Lodge has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate 8 adults with ease. There’s plenty of living space, with a large open plan kitchen / dining area, a separate sitting room with open fire and a spacious conservatory overlooking the river.
